The Cab will release new music for the first time in more than a decade later this month. <\/p>\n
The popular pop-punk band will drop their forthcoming four-track EP, \u201cRoad to Reign: A Prelude,\u201d on Friday, Sept. 26.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know it took awhile. But the long road lead us right back to you. What was fractured can heal. What was silent can scream,\u201d The Cab wrote in a Facebook post<\/a> on Sept. 12. \u201cOn September 26th our heart will beat again. It\u2019s time. The prelude is here.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cRoad to Reign: A Prelude\u201d will mark the band\u2019s first released since their 2014 EP, \u201cLock Me Up.\u201d It\u2019s unclear if the new EP means a full-length album is also on the way. <\/p>\n The Cab, featuring lead singer Alexander DeLeon, keyboardist\/guitarist Alex T. Marshall and bassist Joey Thunder, formed in Las Vegas in the 2000s. The band rose to popularity in the MySpace\/Warped Tour era with a sound that incorporated the genres of alternative rock, pop-punk, electropop and dance. <\/p>\n The Cab released their debut studio album \u201cWhisper War\u201d in 2008 and were named that year\u2019s \u201cThe Band You Need to Know\u201d by Alternative Press magazine. The band followed up with \u201cSymphony Soldier\u201d in 2011. The album featured the gold-certified<\/a> single, \u201cAngel with a Shotgun.\u201d The Cab\u2019s other notable singles include \u201cOne of THOSE Nights,\u201d \u201cTemporary Bliss,\u201d \u201cStand Up,\u201d \u201cLa La\u201d and \u201cEndlessly.\u201d<\/p>\n The band entered an extended hiatus shortly after the release of \u201cLock Me Up.\u201d Earlier this year, The Cab returned to activity with a reunion tour opening for All Time Low<\/a>, as well as performances at the When We Were Young Festival.<\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
