Jen Affleck is \u201cscared\u201d to compete on Dancing with the Stars<\/a> after a \u201ctraumatic\u201d reality TV experience.<\/p>\n The Hulu<\/a> star, 26, is set to make her debut on the hit reality competition show<\/a> tonight. Just before the season premiere, she is opening up about the preparation she took to get to this moment.<\/p>\n Jen, who has been paired with a new pro with A-list ties<\/a>, revealed she\u2019s hitting the dance floor as a complete newbie to the professional dancing realm.<\/p>\n Jen told Yahoo<\/a> that her only experience was from her Hispanic background where she grew up dancing at paries and “on countertops.”<\/p>\n After her first week of rehearsals, Jen was covered in bruises and blisters. She was left shocked at how vigorous the preparation was.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The show\u2019s challenging nature, however, is helping her \u201cget out of the rut.\u201d<\/p>\n She confessed the show is “filling my cup” and has helped her feel “more inspired in life,” which has translated into giving more of herself to her family and the world.<\/p>\n Her family is the main reason she committed to the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that\u2019s why I\u2019m doing everything that I\u2019m doing \u2014 so I can show them that I did the scary thing,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s daunting \u2026 being in a place where people can judge you.
