After leaving season 3 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On<\/em><\/a> about a year ago, the couple announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram<\/a> on Monday, Sept. 15, with Watkins writing, “I SAID YES!!!! \ud83d\udc8d\u2665\ufe0f.”<\/p>\nWatkins and Hardeman shared several photos and a video from their surprise waterfront proposal in Dumbo, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Overlooking the twinkling Manhattan skyline at night, Hardeman dropped down on one knee and popped the question to Watkins. In one shot, the bride-to-be showed off her sparkling diamond ring over a large bouquet of red roses wrapped with a ribbon that read, “Will You Marry Me?”<\/p>\n

But after selecting their trial marriage partners during The Choice and moving in together, the group of four left the show prematurely.<\/p>\nProducers revealed that the group “secretly met off camera” earlier that day but “that evening, surveillance cameras captured them packing.” The screen then read, “Dave, Vanessa, Micah and Chanel quickly departed, abruptly ending their experience.”<\/p>\n
