Law Roach<\/strong> is back, and it\u2019s almost like he never left. The famed celebrity stylist exclusively tells Us Weekly<\/em> why he decided to come out of retirement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m back styling full time. I just couldn\u2019t keep myself away,\u201d Roach, 47, told Us<\/em> at the September 11 unveiling of the 50-piece collection from his personal archive at What Goes Around Comes Around in SoHo.<\/p>\n

Roach\u2019s return comes two years after he sent shockwaves through the fashion industry by announcing he was retiring. \u201cRETIRED,\u201d read a graphic he posted via Instagram on March, 14, 2023. In the caption he wrote, in part, \u201cthe politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me!\u201d<\/p>\n

He clarified the next day that while he was stepping away from celebrity styling, he was not leaving fashion as a whole in an interview with Vogue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLaw Roach, the celebrity stylist known for dressing talents like Zendaya and C\u00e9line Dion, is still confirming he\u2019s retired, outside from dressing the two. \u201cI think that chapter in my life is [done]. I think I did well, and hopefully, I made an impression and opened the doors for some people,\u201d Roach, 46, exclusively told [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, over two years later, the legendary stylist was recently pictured on September 7 on the MTV VMAs red carpet alongside his longtime client, Ariana Grande<\/a>,<\/strong> in coordinating outfits.<\/a> He\u2019s also credited as styling recent awards show and fashion week appearances of Jodie Turner- Smith,<\/strong> Tyler James Williams<\/strong>, Jesse<\/strong> Williams<\/strong> and Ryan<\/strong> Destiny<\/strong>, the latter who was also spotted at his September 11 event.<\/p>\n

\u201cLaw Roach brings an unparalleled vision and deep understanding of fashion history to our brand,\u201d Seth Weisser,<\/strong> CEO of What Goes Around Comes Around, said in a press release ahead of the partnership between the iconic stylist and the luxury vintage fashion reseller.<\/p>\n

The star-studded New York Fashion Week 2025 kickoff party marked Roach\u2019s first time sharing archival pieces from his collection with the public. Notable attendees included Rachel Zoe<\/strong>, Christian<\/strong> Siriano<\/strong>, Jackie<\/strong> Aina<\/strong>, Christian<\/strong> Combs<\/strong>, Jessie<\/strong> and D\u2019Lila<\/strong> Combs<\/strong>, Keri<\/strong> Hilson<\/strong>, Amerie<\/strong>, Julez<\/strong> Smith<\/strong>, Serena<\/strong> Page<\/strong>, Chelley<\/strong> Bissainthe<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have such a huge archive, and sometimes I feel guilty that these pieces are not having a life and they\u2019re not on people or people seeing them and enjoying them,\u201d Roach told Us<\/em>. \u201cI feel so selfish. So when opportunities came around, I was like, what better place to showcase them than What Goes Around Comes Around.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLaw Roach is more than a stylist \u2014 he\u2019s an artist. Through the years, the fashion expert has created memorable red carpet moments for Hollywood\u2019s biggest names, from Zendaya to Celine Dion.\u00a0 Roach sent shockwaves through the fashion industry, however, in March 2023 when he announced his sudden retirement. Amid his step away from the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Some of the pieces that Roach had on display at the event were from Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that sometimes you don\u2019t get to see a lot of the Japanese designers. We see a lot of Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, but I just had this amazing collection of Yohji that I wanted to share,\u201d Roach said.<\/p>\n

Roach also let Us<\/em> in on a new designer that is catching his eye at the moment.<\/p>\n
