Travis suffered a stroke in 2012 and is still limited in his ability to communicate, but he is putting on a tour with the help of Wayne, his wife, and his original band.<\/p>\n
The \u201cMore Life Tour starring Randy Travis\u201d kicked off in Denver, Colorado, last month.<\/p>\n
James Dupre serves as a guest vocalist on the tour. He sings Travis\u2019 songs while the audience is taken on a trip down memory lane, recounting a career that began in 1979 via video highlights.<\/p>\n
Although Travis is not able to perform, he interacts with the band and engages the crowd along with his wife, Mary, according to the press release announcing the tour.<\/a><\/p>\n The tour is scheduled to be in Peoria, Illinois, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, this week before heading to Missouri this weekend for shows in St. Joseph and Branson.<\/p>\n \u201cThe More Life Tour celebrates something so much more than a musical moment in time,\u201d Travis is quoted as saying in a press release announcing the tour. \u201cIt\u2019s a gift to me to spend time with my fans, and my band, as James Dupre perfectly presents the songs that best define my career.
