Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is trying to process Charlie Kirk<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2019s death days after he was shot and killed at a Utah university.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to bring something up with you just because it\u2019s front of mind. Charlie Crist was killed two days ago,\u201d Curtis, 66, shared on the Monday, September 15, episode of Marc Maron<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cWTF\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>. \u201cSorry, Kirk. I just call him Crist, I think, because of Christ, because of his deep belief.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Curtis acknowledged that she disagreed with Kirk on \u201calmost every point I ever heard him say,\u201d the actress wanted to highlight his religious beliefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe he was a man of faith, and I hope in that moment when he died that he felt connected to his faith,\u201d she said while getting emotional. \u201cEven though I find what his ideas were abhorrent to me, I still believe he\u2019s a father and a husband and a man of faith, and I hope whatever \u2018connection to God\u2019 means, that he felt it.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke on Wednesday, September 10, that Kirk was shot and killed during a\u00a0 speaking engagement in Utah. He was 31. \u201cThe Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,\u201d President Donald Trump wrote via his Truth Social platform. \u201cNo [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kirk was speaking at an event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday, September 10, when he was shot and killed.<\/span><\/a> He died at the age of 31 and is survived by his wife, Erika Kirk<\/strong> (n\u00e9e Frantzve), and their two children.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Police identified Tyler Robinson<\/strong> as Charlie\u2019s alleged shooter<\/span><\/a> on Friday, September 12, and confirmed he is in police custody. He is currently being held without bail at Utah County Jail.<\/p>\n

Curtis also brought up the fact that the moment Charlie was shot is on video. She questioned the impact it could have on people in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are numb to them, but they are in there,\u201d Curtis continued when discussing violent images. \u201cWe don\u2019t know, we don\u2019t know enough psychologically about what that does. What does that do?\u201d<\/p>\n
