Millie Bobby Brown<\/a><\/strong> took a moment out of her busy schedule as a working actress and new mom<\/a> to give a shoutout to a close friend, director Philip Barantini<\/strong>, after his show, Adolescence<\/em>, took home eight Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n The Stranger Things<\/em> star shared a candid photo of herself with Barantini on what looked to be a film set, as Brown’s hair was done in an uncharacteristic style and she wore a robe. This includes the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, with the show up against The Penguin<\/em>, Dying For Sex<\/em>, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story<\/em> and Black Mirror<\/em>.<\/p>\n Barantini personally won for Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, while the show also won for writing, casting and cinematography. Adolescence<\/em> almost swept all the limited series acting awards as well, with Owen Cooper<\/a><\/strong>, Stephen Graham<\/strong> and Erin Doherty<\/strong> all winning in their respective categories.<\/p>\n During his acceptance speech for directing, Barantini thanked the ensemble cast, saying, “I’m in total awe of all of you.”<\/p>\n “To all the crew, this award is for them as much as it is for me,” he went on. “To Jack [Thorne]<\/strong> and Stephen [Graham], thank you for writing something so raw, so urgent, and so absolutely necessary.” He also thanked the producers and his family before signing off.<\/p>\n The director posted about the historic night on social media in celebration, sharing photos of everyone involved with Adolescence<\/em> posing with their new awards. He captioned the update<\/a>, “Wow!
