Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> is no stranger to making headlines, but this time, he\u2019s found himself in the hot seat.<\/p>\n The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, was spotted wearing a T-shirt with a photo collage of his teammate Rashee Rice<\/strong> and the words \u201cFree 4\u201d emblazoned across the front before the team took on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, September 14.<\/p>\n Rice, 25, was driving a Lamborghini Urus SUV at high speeds in March 2024 before crashing on the North Central Expressway in Dallas, Texas. He and his former college teammate, Theodore \u201cTeddy\u201d Knox<\/strong>, were allegedly racing one another at the time and their aggressive maneuvers in traffic triggered a chain reaction of car accidents involving six cars.<\/p>\n The accident left several people injured, and authorities said that Rice left the scene without checking on the other drivers.<\/p>\n In July 2025, Rice pleaded guilty to two third-degree felony charges: collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury. He was given five years\u2019 probation and 30 days in jail, and the following month, Rice was suspended from playing six games and he\u2019s prohibited from practicing with the Chiefs.<\/p>\n Kelce and his teammate Tyquan Thornton<\/strong> both sparked outrage from Kathryn Kuykendall<\/strong> \u2014 who was injured in the crash \u2014 and her attorney slammed the Super Bowl champs for wearing the shirts.<\/p>\n \u201cI respect that Kelce and Thornton support their teammate, but the \u2018gym teacher\u2019 needs to talk with the history teacher,\u201d Kuykendall\u2019s attorney Marc Lenahan<\/strong> said in a statement to TMZ<\/em><\/a> on Monday, September 15, referencing Kelce and Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/strong> recent engagement announcement<\/a>. \u201cRashee isn\u2019t Nelson Mandela or Pepe Mujica, men who fought for what they believed in.
