That was true before the latest casting addition was made. However, now that Jai Courtney has been added to the ensemble, we have three very famous heavy hitters joining Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser on this Yellowstone series. I also think they\u2019ll impact Rip and Beth\u2019s lives in significant ways, and based on what we know about Courtney\u2019s character, I think our favorite cowboy might be in trouble.<\/p>\n Before this, we found out that Annette Bening joined Rip and Beth\u2019s show<\/u><\/a> to play Beulah Jackson, the head of a huge ranch in Texas. It was also announced that Ed Harris was cast in the tentatively titled <\/u>Dutton Ranch<\/u><\/a> as veteran and veterinarian Everett McKinney. Now, it\u2019s been revealed that Jai Courtney has joined this stacked lineup by way of a report from Variety<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n In the show, he\u2019ll play Rob-Will, \u201can imposing, unpredictable ranch foreman.\u201d No other information is given about his character. However, the terms \u201cimposing\u201d and \u201cunpredicable\u201d lean toward him being an antagonist to me.<\/p>\n Plus, he\u2019s been in projects like The Terminal List, Suicide Squad, Terminator Genisys and A Good Day to Die Hard. He\u2019s really no stranger to action, and I think that will play into his role in this show, specifically his relationship with Cole Hauser\u2019s character Rip.<\/p>\n Now, the simple idea of Jai Courtney and Cole Hauser being in the same show already has me hoping they\u2019ll end up in some kind of big action sequence and\/or fight. They really feel like they\u2019d make for great adversaries. However, I think the upcoming <\/u>Yellowstone <\/u>show\u2019s<\/u><\/a> logline adds to this idea, too. It states:<\/p>\n Beth Dutton (Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Hauser) are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter (Little) becomes the man he\u2019s supposed to be.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n That \u201cstiff competition\u201d feels like it could come via Courtney and Bening\u2019s characters. I don\u2019t know if they work on the same ranch or two different operations. However, either way, I think they\u2019ll both be foes for Rip and Beth.<\/p>\n Plus, since Rob-Will is described as an \u201cimposing, unpredictable ranch foreman,\u201d it sounds like he\u2019ll have a similar job to Rip, and I think it makes sense for them to go head-to-head.<\/p>\n Rip\u2019s action-packed fights and darker side have always been one of the fascinating parts of Yellowstone, and that, mixed with his kind relationship with Beth, is what makes their storyline so great. It\u2019s these two aggressive and ruthless people coming together out of genuine love, and that\u2019s a dynamic I want them to continue to explore.<\/p>\n I think one way they can do that is by bringing Jai Courtney in as the next person Rip will want to take to the train station<\/a>. So, I\u2019m curious to see if his character, Rob-Will, really will face off against Cole Hauser\u2019s cowboy.<\/p>\n<\/span><\/div>\n
