Sniffing through tears, she called Kirk a “man of faith” and hoped that his faith served as a source of comfort for him in his final moments.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Even though I find what he\u2014his ideas were abhorrent to me. I still believe he’s a father and a husband and a man of faith. He spent his last moments discussing and debating with college students while on his American Comeback Tour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Academy Award winner expressed concern over the long-term effects of seeing Kirk’s execution.
