Margot Robbie thinks A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is “magical”.<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old actress stars in the new romantic-fantasy movie alongside Colin Farrell, and Margot has explained what attracted her to the project, admitting that the script “kept surprising” her.<\/p>\n
Asked what drew her to the movie, Margot told Extra: “It felt really original and magical and romantic.<\/p>\n
“The movie starts and it\u2019s like a meet-cute at a wedding and then it turns into like this road trip movie and then it gets a little emotional \u2026 It kept surprising me.”<\/p>\n
The movie tells the story of two strangers who are brought together by an unimaginable journey.<\/p>\n
Margot admitted that she relished the experience of working with Colin, revealing that he made sandwiches for her during the film’s shoot.<\/p>\n
Asked about working with Colin, she replied: “He\u2019s the best co-star you could hope to have, honestly.”<\/p>\n
Colin, meanwhile, recently hailed Margot as a “brilliant actress”.<\/p>\n
The 49-year-old actor revealed that he relished the experience of working with the acclaimed film star.<\/p>\n
He told Variety: “I\u2019ve heard the most extraordinary things about [Margot] through the years from the people that have worked with you both in front of and behind the camera.<\/p>\n
“They said she\u2019s a mensch \u2026 She\u2019s the loveliest person, she\u2019s fun. She\u2019s obviously a brilliant actress, but they didn\u2019t say that because that is stating the obvious, and the other stuff I didn\u2019t know, and all of it was very true and then some.<\/p>\n
“It was a joy every day to be on the set with her. She\u2019s so smart, she\u2019s so brilliant, but she\u2019s just kind and fun.”<\/p>\n
Colin also refuted the idea that their new movie is “dark”.<\/p>\n
The actor explained: “It deals with grief and loss and sorrow and loneliness and all these very human things that we all contend with, but I\u2019ve never used the word darkness in relation to this film. No. There\u2019s no darkness in it. Those things in and of themselves aren\u2019t dark. They may be painful, but they\u2019re not dark experiences.”<\/p>\n
Margot always assumed that she’d develop a good chemistry with Colin. However, she wasn’t 100 percent sure that it would actually be the case until the cameras started rolling.<\/p>\n
She said: “I suspected we would have chemistry, but you never know until you\u2019re actually acting. But I had a suspicion it would work.”<\/p>\n
Margot actually performed a casual background check on her co-star before they worked together.<\/p>\n
The actress explained: “A lot of my closest girlfriends are crew members \u2026 Two of my closest girlfriends worked with you on Fantastic Beasts. They were ADs. And they were always like, \u2018He\u2019s the best, the kindest.\u2019 They just spoke so highly of you.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
