Savannah Chrisley<\/a> is grieving the loss of her friend Charlie Kirk<\/a>, the conservative activist who was fatally shot in Utah<\/a> on September 10, revealing a touching text she received from Kirk\u2019s wife, Erika.<\/p>\n

On the Tuesday (September 16) episode of her Unlocked<\/em><\/a> podcast, Savannah opened up about her friendship with Charlie and Erika, and how she was welcomed into the Turning Point \u201cfamily.\u201d Turning Point is the nonprofit organization Charlie co-founded that advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses.<\/p>\n

\u201cCharlie gave me a voice to share my story, and I will forever be grateful for that,\u201d Savannah said, per Parade<\/em><\/a>, adding that she had \u201cjust started to get to know\u201d Charlie in recent months after he lent his support to her campaign to free her parents from federal prison.<\/p>\n

Savannah\u2019s parents, Todd<\/a> and Julie Chrisley<\/a>, were convicted of bank and tax fraud in 2022 and sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison. They spent just a little over two years behind bars before President\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a> issued them\u00a0full pardons on May 27, 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t help but think of Erika and the kids,\u201d Savannah continued, saying she was \u201cheartbroken\u201d over Charlie\u2019s killing. She then revealed that she texted Charlie\u2019s wife after the shooting and found a message Erika had sent her back in June.<\/p>\n

Erika\u2019s text read: \u201cI just wanted to say how proud I am of you. I told your mom backstage you have a massive anointing on your life. Great job tonight\u2026 Just wanted to share these super sweet photos with you. God bless you. Continue to fix your eyes on Jesus. I\u2019m very proud of you. If you need anything don\u2019t ever hesitate to reach out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chrisleys: Back to Reality<\/em><\/a> star called Erika \u201cthe epitome of a God-fearing, loving person, woman, mother,\u201d adding that she is \u201cthe type of woman that I want to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, in an emotional TikTok video<\/a>, Savannah revealed she was supposed to be joining Charlie on his \u201cAmerican Comeback Tour\u201d series in October.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was supposed to be standing next to him at every college this October. Instead, I sit here with a broken heart, devastated beyond words,\u201d she wrote in the post\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n
