She was 91. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"T5ASZECWLNHCXMQS2AGLWE2T64\">Crowley died of natural causes in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 15, according to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/patricia-crowley-dead-please-dont-eat-daisies-1236372071\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/patricia-crowley-dead-please-dont-eat-daisies-1236372071\/\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. Her death was announced by her son, Jon Hookstratten, executive vp administration and operations at Sony Pictures Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"ZRWTDLKQINCPHOJADD6X5PIDOU\">Crowley\u2019s death came just two days before her 92nd birthday. She is survived by her husband, television producer and executive Andy Friendly and her children. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"W3L7BISS4ZEQ3PICLEVBMRBZVY\">The Pennsylvania native started her acting career in the early 1950s and quickly established herself in Hollywood, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/parade.com\/news\/dynasty-port-charles-star-pat-crowley-dead-91\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/parade.com\/news\/dynasty-port-charles-star-pat-crowley-dead-91\">Parade reported<\/a>. Her performances in the 1953 films \u201cForever Female\u201d and \u201cMoney from Home\u201d earned her the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer \u2013 Female, an honor she shared with actresses Bella Darvi and Barbara Rush.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"BZ6JSGUA4BG7XMT63Q3IFIRNUA\">Crowley went on to appear in numerous television shows in the \u201950s and \u201860s including \u201c77 Sunset Strip,\u201d \u201cMr. Kildare,\u201d and \u201cThe Twilight Zone.\u201d She gained particular recognition for her role as Joan Nash in the sitcom \u201cPlease Don\u2019t Eat the Daisies,\u201d which ran from 1965 to 1967. The show featured Crowley alongside Mark Miller as her husband Jim, chronicling their family life with four sons in Ridgemont, New York. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"WSE6CNOYENGGFAVZMGGX6P22VE\">Crowley\u2019s career continued throughout the \u201870s and \u201880s with appearances in popular series such as \u201cColumbo,\u201d \u201cPolice Story,\u201d \u201cHappy Days,\u201d \u201cHawaii Five-O,\u201d \u201cCharlie\u2019s Angels\u201d and \u201cThe Love Boat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"Y4U2OP7XSNH2XD7KL5SYXUXTYQ\">In 1986, she joined the cast of \u201cDynasty\u201d as Emily Fallmont, wife of Senator Buck Fallmont (played by Richard Anderson).
