While Netflix\u2019s hit action thriller series The Night Agent<\/strong> is returning for Season 3<\/strong> soon, Luciane Buchanan, who plays the fan-favorite character of Rose Larkin, won\u2019t be returning. In a recent interview, the Chief of War star confirmed that she won\u2019t be coming back for the next chapter of the franchise, all the while hinting at a possible cameo in later installments.<\/p>\n While speaking with Deadline<\/a>, Buchanan confirmed that Rose will not appear in the upcoming third chapter of The Night Agent as the writers wanted to focus on the journey of Gabriel Basso\u2019s rogue FBI operative, Peter Sutherland.<\/p>\n \u201cAs much as that show has been so amazing, especially for my career \u2014 being a lead on a U.S. show from little New Zealand was such a whirlwind \u2014 the writers decided that they wanted to follow Peter and his journey based on what happened at the end of Season 2,\u201d Buchanan said about her absence in The Night Agent Season 3.<\/p>\n Explaining the writers\u2019 decision to leave her character out of the next season of The Night Agent, the 32-year-old actress stated, \u201cThey were like, \u2018We\u2019ve been trying to find a way to bring [Rose] in, but we want to do her character justice and not make her a sub-character.\u2019 I totally respected that decision and agreed. I was like, if it makes sense to a story, I\u2019ll do that. If it doesn\u2019t, let\u2019s not force that.\u201d<\/p>\n Nevertheless, Buchanan remains hopeful of a potential return to The Night Agent after Season 3. \u201cWe don\u2019t get to see what happens to Rose. But I think it\u2019s a really exciting time for the show, and who knows, it\u2019s not a goodbye forever. I\u2019m sure [creator] Shawn Ryan and his team will find a little way.
