\n\tGood news! The soundtrack for Wicked: For Good <\/em>now has a release date and official tracklist \u2014 featuring the titles of two brand new songs added to the musical\u2019s songbook \u2014 as revealed on Wednesday (Sept. 17). <\/p>\n

\n\tArriving Nov. 21 \u2014 the same day that the Wicked <\/em>sequel is set to hit theaters this fall \u2014 the soundtrack will include a total of 11 songs. In addition to the already beloved titles that will transfer over from the Wicked <\/em>Broadway musical\u2019s soundtrack, such as \u201cThank Goodness\/I Couldn\u2019t Be Happier,\u201d \u201cAs Long as You\u2019re Mine\u201d and \u201cFor Good,\u201d the upcoming film will have two original works specially written for the screen adaptation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m especially happy that the soundtrack album for Wicked: For Good<\/em> has so much new music on it,\u201d said Stephen Schwartz, who composed the score for the Wicked <\/em>stage production and has worked on the music for the movies, in a statement.\u00a0\u201cIn addition to two brand new songs, there is a lot that\u2019s new in several other existing songs.\u00a0So not only listeners coming to the score for the first time, but longtime fans of the original Broadway cast album will have a great deal to discover.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCynthia Erivo will perform the first all-new track, titled \u201cNo Place Like Home.\u201d In a Variety <\/em>podcast interview in December, the actress \u2014 who plays Elphaba in the Wicked <\/em>films \u2014 teased that the added ballad is sure to be emotional. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t know if you\u2019re ready for it,\u201d she said at the time<\/a>, noting that she helped write the track with Schwartz. \u201cI feel like the song is very, very special. I have a feeling that even the title will move you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAriana Grande, who plays Glinda, will sing the other new song, which is called \u201cThe Girl in the Bubble.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Wicked: For Good <\/em>soundtrack certainly has big ruby red shoes to fill, as the first Wicked<\/em>\u2018s corresponding album \u2014 which dropped alongside the film in November 2024 \u2014 entered at No. 2 on the Billboard 200<\/a>. In doing so, it secured the highest ever debut <\/a>for a big-screen adaptation of a stage musical on the chart.<\/p>\n
