Carrie Ann Inaba<\/a> had to miss<\/a> the\u00a0Dancing With the Stars<\/a><\/em> premiere<\/a> due to being \u201cunder the weather,\u201d but no guest judge was brought in to take her place, which the cast agrees was the best decision.<\/p>\n TV Insider was on the post-show red carpet to chat with host Alfonso Ribeiro<\/a> and more about the decision to have Derek Hough<\/a> and Bruno Tonioli<\/a> judge the episode as a duo in Inaba\u2019s absence.<\/p>\n \u201cWe only heard about it this morning, that Carrie Ann wasn\u2019t well and couldn\u2019t make it in,\u201d Ribeiro shared. \u201cI think the easiest decision was to not put someone there and create an issue or controversy. It was easier to just go to two [judges]. There were certainly conversations about possibly [bringing someone in], but this was best decision. Last minute, I think it was better go with what we know. Hopefully, she\u2019s well next week and is back.\u201d<\/p>\n Alan Bersten<\/a>, who\u2019s paired with Elaine Hendrix<\/a> this season, added,\u00a0\u201cOur best wishes to Carrie Ann, and we hope she recovers quickly. We don\u2019t know a lot of things. We didn\u2019t know she was going to not be at the show until she posted [on Instagram]. We\u2019re hoping for the best for her. Bruno and Derek were great, and we\u2019re grateful for a great premiere.\u201d<\/p>\n Danielle Fishel<\/a>\u2018s pro partner Pasha Pashkov<\/a> said it was the \u201cright decision\u201d not to bring in a guest judge. \u201cIt\u2019s not even the second week or a theme night,\u201d he pointed out. \u201cCarrie Ann and Bruno are the two people who\u2019ve been here, until today, since the beginning, and who are still here. If she wasn\u2019t here, then sticking to two was absolutely the right decision.\u201d<\/p>\n Just hours before the live premiere, Inaba posted on Instagram<\/a>, \u201cI wanted to share that I will not be at the show tonight as I am feeling quite under the weather. I\u2019m resting up and can\u2019t wait to be back next week in good health,\u201d she shared on Instagram. \u201cIn the meantime, I wish all the contestants the very best of luck.
