Lady A’s\u00a0Charles Kelley<\/a>\u00a0is a dad of two!<\/p>\nThe 43-year-old country singer and wife\u00a0Cassie<\/a>, 42, welcomed their second baby together, son Archer Lancaster Kelley, a rep for the couple exclusively shares with PEOPLE. The couple’s newest addition, who entered the world weighing 6 lbs., 11 oz., joins their 9-year-old son Ward.<\/p>\n\u201cOur little miracle Archer Lancaster Kelley arrived at 11:14 am on September 16 and we are absolutely in love,” he tells PEOPLE. “We are so thankful to get to be his mom\u00a0and dad, and to share the joy with his big brother, Ward, who is over the moon!\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple first shared the exciting news that they were expecting again in a surprise post\u00a0on their Instagrams<\/a>\u00a0on March 25.<\/p>\nIn a carousel of photos taken by\u00a0Mary Craven Dawkins<\/a>, Cassie could be seen wearing an off-the-shoulder green dress, which accentuated her growing belly as she posed with her husband and their son, Ward.<\/p>\n“Biggest surprise of our lives! In late August, she shared shared footage of herself setting up the nursery for their newborn, filling the chic bedroom with gingham prints, a vintage-inspired crib, and tons of baby clothes.<\/p>\n
Another post shared to Cassie’s Instagram in early September featured photos taken during her pregnancy. She could be seen posing poolside, on a European vacation, in her pajamas and more as she wrote about the excitement she and the Lady A star felt as they prepared to become parents for a second time.<\/p>\n
“The summer I spent carrying you \ud83d\udc99,” she wrote in the caption. “All over the world, with friends, with family, with ocean breezes and cityscapes, celebrating and grieving, sharing laughter and long stories. But no matter where i was or who i was with\u2026I was always with you, buddy. Can\u2019t wait for you to be here and I\u2019ll never forget our summer together (and all of our outfits haha) \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\ud83d\udc99\ud83d\udc76\ud83c\udffb.”<\/p>\n
Charles and Cassie have been\u00a0open about their struggles in the past<\/a>, welcoming Ward in 2016 after years of fertility issues.<\/p>\nIn recent months, the Lady A vocalist has also been candid about his struggles with sobriety<\/a> \u2014 and told PEOPLE in March that his new album,\u00a0Songs for a New Moon, <\/em>was inspired by his older son and wife.<\/p>\n\u201cShe’s the reason that I got sober,\u201d the Grammy-winning artist said of Cassie, whom he married in July 2009. \u201cShe had so much grace for me and went along through the journey with me doing all the work, and I could go so far as to say there’s no way she would’ve stayed with me if I had not gotten sober.\u201d<\/p>\n
