Ben Stiller is staying put at Apple TV+ \u2014 and this time, he\u2019s got Jessica Chastain by his side.<\/p>\n
The pair will star in the new thriller series \u201cThe Off Weeks\u201d from showrunner Alissa Nutting and director Michael Showalter. The four will additionally serve as executive producers.<\/p>\n

As Gus tries to manage the \u201con weeks\u201d where he\u2019s given custody of his children, he begins falling in love with the mysterious Stella West during his off weeks.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/figure>\n Stiller and Chastain aren\u2019t strangers to Apple TV+. Stiller famously served as a director and executive producer for \u201cSeverance,\u201d the workplace sci-fi phenomenon that recently won eight Emmys for its second season. He also directed the documentary \u201cStiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost,\u201d about his parents Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, which will premiere on the service on Oct. 24. Chastain, meanwhile, is set to star in \u201cThe Savant,\u201d a thriller series about a woman who infiltrates hate groups in an attempt to prevent violent actions. That series, created by Melissa James Gibson, premieres Sept. 26.<\/p>\n Showalter also directed Chastain to her first Academy Award, helming \u201cThe Eyes of Tammy Faye,\u201d for which she won Best Actress at the 2022 Oscars. His other credits include \u201cThe Idea of You,\u201d \u201cThe Big Sick\u201d and \u201cWet Hot American Summer\u201d (which he wrote with David Wain, but didn\u2019t direct). Nutting previously created the series \u201cMade for Love\u201d and \u201cTeenage Euthanasia.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe Off Weeks\u201d is produced for Apple TV+ by global independent studio wiip. Showalter developed the show with Semi-Formal Productions.
