A fan-favorite Disney<\/a> Channel Original Movie series<\/strong> is coming back with a highly anticipated third movie in its franchise.<\/p>\n In surprise news, Disney announced today that the Camp Rock gang is getting back together for a third movie. The film followed the story of an aspiring teenage singer, Mitchie (Lovato), who goes to Camp Rock, a summer music camp. The film was an instant hit for Disney, and watched by over 8 million people on the night of its premiere. To date, the film is the third-highest-viewed Disney Channel Original Movie ever, behind High School Musical 2 and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie.<\/p>\n A sequel to the film, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, premiered in 2010, and was also a massive hit.
