The series creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, make every episode on the fly and often in response to current events. Episodes aren\u2019t completed months in advance like most shows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The series is usually so punctual that an entire documentary called <em>6 Days To Air <\/em>was made about it. In the show\u2019s very long history, they\u2019ve only once previously missed a deadline. That time, it was due to a power outage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Parker and Stone issued the following statement about the episode\u2019s delay: \u201cApparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don\u2019t get it done,\u201d they said. \u201cThis one\u2019s on us. We didn\u2019t get it done in time. It\u2019s unclear whether this move was approved by Parker and Stone, who\u2019ve remained silent on the matter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There is now considerable pressure on <em>South Park<\/em> to address the situation. It\u2019s possible the team was halfway through making the current episode before they decided they needed to pivot to do just that.
