\u201cSouth Park<\/a>\u201d is pushing back the airing of its next episode, the animated show\u2019s creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cApparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don\u2019t get it done. This one\u2019s on us. We didn\u2019t get it done in time,\u201d Parker and Stone wrote in a joint statement<\/a> shared to the show\u2019s social media pages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The news arrived just hours before the episode was set to air on the network. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The show was originally scheduled to roll out new episodes from its 27th season every two weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The next episode is now set to drop on Sept. 24, with the biweekly schedule resuming on Oct. 15.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cSouth Park\u201d fans were anticipating the episode originally intended for Wednesday, which would have marked the show\u2019s first since the assassination of Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

An episode from last month that mocked Kirk, titled \u201cGot A Nut,\u201d was reportedly pulled<\/a> from Comedy Central\u2019s rerun schedule last week after the right-wing activist\u2019s killing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
