Jimmy Kimmel Live! <\/em>will be suspended until further notice by ABC after affiliate groups threaten to pre-empt the late night show, according to multiple reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n Nexstar, owner of 28 ABC affiliates nationwide including New Orleans and Salt Lake City, informed the network that they would not air tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show after comments made during Tuesday night’s broadcast were deemed controversial. According to The Hollywood Reporter, <\/em>another station group threatened to pre-empt the show as well, which “may have played a role in the decision.”<\/p>\n The news comes just days after the 2025 Emmy Awards, where the long-running series was nominated for Outstanding Talk Series.<\/p>\n While the series did not take home the award, Jimmy Kimmel’s pal Stephen Colbert did after Kimmel advocated for him following news of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em>‘s cancelation.<\/p>\n “He\u2019s not just a sweet man.
