On Tuesday, September 16, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/i> star, 44, revealed on her Diamonds in the Rough<\/i> podcast<\/a> that a \u201cbrutal\u201d case of COVID-19 left her feeling deeply hopeless while already battling stage 4 melanoma.<\/p>\n \u201cI got COVID, which, I\u2019m good now, but then I started feeling extreme, extreme depression,\u201d Mellencamp told co-host Erika Jayne<\/b>. \u201cI called my psychiatrist. My dad flew in his assistant to be with me. But I haven\u2019t ever felt like that.\u201d<\/p>\n The mother of three admitted she cried every day during her COVID illness, describing herself as \u201cparalyzed\u201d by brain fog and too afraid to ask for help.
