Jude Law has revealed if he will make a cameo in the upcoming \u201cThe Holiday\u201d remake, nearly 20 years after starring in the original 2006 movie as countryside widower Graham Simpkins.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m playing the grandfather,\u201d Law, 52, joked during Wednesday\u2019s episode<\/a> of the \u201cToday\u201d show. \u201cNo, I\u2019m not. I\u2019m really not.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I heard about it. I know nothing about it,\u201d he shared. \u201cNothing, other than I don\u2019t think I\u2019m in it. I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cSherlock Holmes\u201d actor added that he would reprise his role as Graham for the limited series adaptation if approached, but only under one condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cNancy Meyers would have to be involved,\u201d he said of the original film\u2019s director. \u201cShe was the magic that brought all that together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meyers, meanwhile, was reportedly the one who informed Law that a remake was even being developed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Nancy wrote to me and said, \u2018Have you heard about this?’\u201d he recalled. \u201cLiterally.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was first revealed that \u201cThe Holiday\u201d was being adapted into a limited series for AppleTV+ last month when Deadline<\/a> reported the surprising news.<\/p>\n

\u201cNews to me<\/a>,\u201d Meyers wrote on Instagram last month about the series. \u201cImagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw.\u201d<\/p>\n

Law and Meyers first sparked rumors of a possible sequel in 2024 when they reunited<\/a> to celebrate his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.<\/p>\n

Later that day, the director further fueled speculation when she shared a video of Law reenacting a beloved character from the original flick \u2014\u00a0Mr. Napkin Head!<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThanks, Nancy,\u201d the actor responded. \u201cIt\u2019s so lovely to see you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so great to see you,\u201d Meyers replied, noting they hadn\u2019t seen each other since they \u201cwrapped up \u2018The Holiday.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSpeaking of which,\u201d she continued, \u201cI\u2019ve seen you interviewed a lot, and they keep asking you if there\u2019s going to be a sequel, what do you think?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIs there gonna be a sequel?\u201d he questioned, before grabbing a white napkin, putting the linen over his face and adding Mr. Napkin Head\u2019s signature glasses.<\/p>\n

Despite Law\u2019s enthusiasm, a whole new cast will reportedly be brought on to star in the limited series.<\/p>\n

While the adaptation is still reportedly looking for its lead actors, Meyers is not expected to have any involvement in the new project.<\/p>\n

Krissie Ducker is attached to write and executive produce the Apple TV+ series, with Rob Delaney serving as a consultant and Left Bank Pictures producing the project, per Variety.<\/a><\/p>\n

The premise, however, is expected to remain the same as the original film, which starred Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black alongside Law.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Holiday\u201d followed Amanda, an ambitious businesswoman from the US (Diaz), who swaps homes with Iris, a heartbroken British columnist (Winslet), at Christmas time.<\/p>\n

While away, Amanda falls for Graham (Law), who is also Iris\u2019 brother. Meanwhile, Winslet\u2019s character finds a match in Miles, played by Black.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
