Festival <\/em>was filmed and recorded in July 2024 at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO, during the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/features\/guns-n-roses-your-essential-guide-to-every-album\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Guns N' Roses;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Guns N&#8217; Roses<\/a> guitarist&#8217;s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. (Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N\u2019 Tolerance) blues tour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The first video from the album, a cover of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/features\/fleetwood-mac-best-albums\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Fleetwood Mac;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Fleetwood Mac<\/a>&#8216;s Peter Green-era classic <em>Oh Well<\/em>, features Slash and his Blues Ball band, who include Teddy \u201cZigZag\u201d Andreadis (keyboards, harmonica, vocals), Tash Neal (rhythm guitar, vocals), Johnny Griparic (bass, backing vocals), and Michael Jerome (drums).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;When I first picked up the guitar, the guys that I was inspired by at that time were all heavily influenced by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/features\/buyers-guide-muddy-waters-albums\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Muddy Waters;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Muddy Waters<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/features\/howlin-wolf-a-guide-to-his-best-albums\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Howlin\u2019 Wolf;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Howlin\u2019 Wolf<\/a> and Robert Johnson, and I just went full circle,&#8221; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/slash-electrified-blues-hard-times-035405093.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Slash told Classic Rock last year;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Slash told <em>Classic Rock<\/em> last year<\/a>. &#8220;So that is really the root of where my guitar playing came from.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;The blues has always functioned as a release for people that are having hard times \u2013 both the people playing it and the people listening to it. Festival<\/em> will be released on November 7 on 2CD+DVD digipak, 2CD+Blu-ray digipak, and on triple LP via earMusic. The concert film will feature behind-the-scenes interviews and has been mixed in PCM Stereo and DTS 5.1 audio.
