President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> has responded to ABC pulling late-night host Jimmy Kimmel<\/a><\/strong> off the air over his comments about Charlie Kirk<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGreat News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED,\u201d Trump, 79, via Truth Social on Wednesday, September 17. \u201cCongratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cJimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely,\u201d an ABC spokesperson told Us<\/i> in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABC\u2019s decision comes after Nexstar Media, who owns multiple TV stations, reportedly threatened to eliminate Kimmel from its late-night lineup. The company told Variety<\/em> in a Wednesday statement that its \u201cowned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/i> for the foreseeable future, beginning with tonight\u2019s show.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The company noted that it \u201cstrongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
