A moment between Melania Trump and Queen Camilla that took place during last night’s state banquet has seriously divided opinion.<\/p>\n

For those who need a reminder, Donald Trump<\/a>, 79, and the First Lady, 55, are in the UK<\/a> for a two-day visit to spend time with King Charles III<\/a> and Queen Camilla<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The American couple have also got to know Prince William<\/a> and Kate Middleton<\/a>, with Trump issuing high praise for the royals<\/a> during his banquet speech.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the 160 guests<\/a> yesterday (17 September), he said: “His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. Really amazing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve gotten to know you and I think you\u2019re going to have an unbelievable success in future.”<\/p>\n

He added: “Melania<\/a> and I are delighted to visit again with Prince William and to see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine, so radiant and so healthy<\/a>, and so beautiful. It\u2019s really a great honour, thank you.”<\/p>\n

A moment from last night’s state banquet has gone viral (Sky News)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Trump was seated next to the Princess of Wales for the banquet, with Melania, Camilla, and William sitting opposite them.<\/p>\n

And eagle-eyed social media users have picked up on one moment of footage from the event, that took place during the luxurious meal.<\/p>\n

In the video, Camilla appears to be speaking to the First Lady, however, Melania seemingly snubs her by not responding and instead chatting to the Prince of Wales next to her.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the moment, which has since been shared on TikTok<\/a>, one user wrote: “Melania Ignoring her just like she does with Trump,” alongside laughing emojis.<\/p>\n

A second said: “I don’t care who you are, sure some respect to other human beings, it doesn’t matter if you can’t stand them at least be civil-friendly and cheerful, there’s nobody perfect in this world just be kind to everybody.”<\/p>\n

While a third added: “Poor Camila, she\u2019s talking to herself.”<\/p>\n

And someone else chimed in with: “You imagine they wouldn\u2019t have much to talk about.”<\/p>\n

However, others have rushed to defend Melania, pointing out that Camilla could have also been talking to William, who was out of camera view.<\/p>\n

“They are both obviously talking to the person next to Camilla,” one person commented.<\/p>\n

A second noted: “Prince William is on the other side of her.”<\/p>\n

Somebody else penned: “Melania was not ignoring Queen Camilla; she was talking to Prince William.”<\/p>\n

Another agreed: “She is talking to someone else, in case you didn\u2019t notice.”<\/p>\n

And a final user pointed out: “People so mean… it’s not ignoring, Melania and Camilla are just talking to another person who is sitting next to Melania.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
