But these whispers were shut down by an insider<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n Now sources say that gossip about the pair ended their engagement due to disputes over starting a family also holds no truth. An insider told US Weekly<\/a>: \u201cThey both wanted a family. It wasn\u2019t that one wanted it more than the other.\u201d<\/p>\n A separate source told the publication that Nina \u201ccouldn\u2019t wait to be married and to start a family with Shaun.\u201d<\/p>\n News that the couple had gone their separate ways first hit on September 11. They had been together for more than five years, with pro snowboarder Shaun popping the question in October 2024.
