Jimmy Kimmel<\/span><\/strong> has been taken off the air \u201cindefinitely\u201d after making comments about the shooting of Charlie Kirk<\/strong><\/span>. The talk show host said in Wednesday\u2019s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the influencer\u2019s death was being used as political leverage. Following the decision to pull the late-night talk show, a number of celebs rushed to Jimmy\u2019s defense via social media.<\/p>\n During the opening monologue section of his show, Jimmy said: \u201cThe MAGA Gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.\u201d<\/p>\n He also sarcastically commented on how hard the POTUS has taken the news of the conservative figure\u2019s death, showing a viral clip of the President discussing his ballroom renovations after being asked how he was doing following the shooting of his friend.<\/p>\n Following the broadcast, ABC announced it will be dropping Jimmy Kimmel Live! A statement was released, stating that the network \u201cstrongly objects\u201d to the comments. It\u2019s not yet known whether or not it\u2019ll be a permanent move.<\/p>\n Many celebrities defended the comedian on social media.<\/p>\n Ben Stiller<\/span> wrote on X: \u201cThis isn\u2019t right<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n In a video posted to Instagram, Wanda Sykes said: \u201cHe didn\u2019t end the Ukraine war or solve Gaza within his first week.
