Demi Lovato<\/a> is known for her emotional power ballads, but in her newest era, she\u2019s having a bit more fun.<\/p>\n On Monday, September 15, Lovato announced her ninth studio album It\u2019s Not That Deep. The album was preceded this past summer with its lead single \u201cFast,\u201d and its latest single \u201cHere All Night,\u201d which dropped last Friday. Lovato revealed the title and cover art in an Instagram post and press release.<\/p>\n On this particular album, Lovato collaborated with producer Zhone<\/a>, who has worked with Kesha<\/a>, Charli XCX<\/a>, and Kylie Minogue. Both of the album\u2019s singles have been more upbeat and dance-oriented, signaling a more pop-centric album.<\/p>\n \u201cThis music is a perfect reflection of where I\u2019m at today,\u201d said Lovato in a statement. \u201cI had such an incredible time making this album with Zhone and it was such a freeing experience to let loose and have fun with it. With my past eras, I often wrote cathartic music about heavy topics that I needed to process. When I got back in the studio this time around, those songs just weren\u2019t resonating anymore because I\u2019m not in that place in life. I\u2019m happy, I\u2019m in love, and I just want to enjoy life and have fun. I realized it\u2019s not that deep anymore, and that became the ethos for this album.
