<\/a><\/p>\n Spotify has partnered with Sony on a deal that will encompass both the recorded music and publishing sides of Sony\u2019s business, according to Billboard<\/em><\/a>. Spotify states the \u201cnew direct licensing arrangement in the U.S.\u201d will result in higher royalties for songwriters. The deal follows previously made agreements with Universal Music Group<\/a>, Warner Music Group<\/a> and Kobalt.<\/p>\n \u201cOur partnership with Sony is built on a shared drive to shape the future of music.
