The Summer I Turned Pretty still has a major storyline to conclude.<\/p>\n

Following the news that the coming-of-age TV show, based on the beloved book series, would continue its story via film, creator<\/a> Jenny Han<\/strong> \u2014 and cast members<\/a> Lola Tung<\/strong> (Belly Conklin), Gavin Casalegno<\/strong> (Jermimah Fisher), and Christopher Briney<\/strong> (Conrad Fisher) \u2014 appeared on the Thursday, September 18 episode of the Today show<\/a> and dished some details.<\/p>\n

Savannah Guthrie<\/strong> pointed out how the season three finale<\/a> did not feature Belly and Conrad\u2019s wedding \u2014 unlike in the third book \u2014 and asked the burning question every fan wants to know: \u201cDo we get a wedding in the movie?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can say that there is another big milestone for Belly, so we\u2019ll continue with that journey,\u201d Han, 45, coyly responded.<\/p>\n

As for when fans can expect a film, the New York Times best-selling author said, \u201cIt\u2019s still a little too soon to say\u201d, noting, \u201cWe don\u2019t know when it\u2019s coming out, but not next year. We still have to make it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSarah Kucserka<\/strong>, who\u2019s my co-showrunner, and I have finished a draft, so we\u2019re chugging along,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, September 17 \u2014 the same day the series finale dropped on Prime Video \u2014 the news about the film was revealed at the show\u2019s red carpet celebration in Paris, France.<\/p>\n
