NEW YORK CITY — <\/span>A big premiere was held Wednesday night in New York City, but from the looks of it you would think you were in Tulsa.<\/p>\n

Ethan Hawke and the rest of the cast of “The Lowdown,” walked the tan carpet at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.<\/p>\n

The new FX show from Sterlin Harjo, follows a journalist and bookshop owner who has dubbed himself a “truth-storian.”<\/p>\n

He may be down on his luck, but he’s determined to expose racism and corruption among the city’s elite.<\/p>\n

“The Lowdown” premieres on FX on September 23, and the next day on Hulu.<\/p>\n
