Justin Baldoni<\/strong> added another lawyer to his legal team in his battle against It Ends With Us<\/em> costar Blake Lively<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to court records viewed by People<\/em><\/a>, the Jane the Virgin<\/em> star, 41, has hired Alexandra Shapiro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shapiro \u2014 who previously represented Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong> in his federal trial \u2014 filed a notice to appear earlier this week, the outlet reported. Shapiro once worked under former Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The legal battle between Baldoni and Lively, 38, began in December 2024 when the Gossip Girl<\/em> star accused him of sexual harassment<\/a> on the set of their film. She also alleged that Baldoni, who also directed the Colleen Hoover<\/strong> adaptation, orchestrated a smear campaign against her.<\/p>\n

The actor filed a countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a> and their publicist, alleging defamation and extortion.<\/p>\n

He also filed a lawsuit against The New York Times<\/em> after the paper ran a lengthy article in December 2024 detailing Lively\u2019s complaints and allegations. That lawsuit, along with the defamation case, were dismissed in June<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former costars\u2019 next court hearing is scheduled for October 21. They are expected to begin trial in March 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
