Chrissy Teigen<\/strong> recently shared how Ozempic helped her cope with a difficult loss.<\/p>\n

On the Thursday, September 18, episode of her Self-Conscious<\/a><\/em> podcast, the model, 39 \u2014 who shares kids Luna<\/strong>, 9, Miles<\/strong>, 7, Esti<\/strong>, 2, and Wren<\/strong>, 2, with husband John Legend<\/strong> \u2014 revealed she turned to the type 2 diabetes medication after her son Jack<\/strong> passed in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I had lost that baby at 20 weeks, I had probably gained an extra 40 lbs that I wasn\u2019t comfortable with,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember way before people were even talking Ozempic, before it was like a celebrity thing or talked about, I had tried it for maybe, like a year or so, and noticed no results for three, four months. Zero. Not a pound lost,\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd then all of a sudden, [I] was finally able to lose the weight that was so reminding me of the baby that I had lost.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cookbook author said the weight loss drug helped her move forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt mentally better because I wasn\u2019t constantly in this deep depression of seeing this pregnant belly with no baby in it,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n

As for her relationship with food, Teigan noted that it significantly improved afterwards.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also felt released from the prison of thinking about food in bad ways,\u201d she told listeners. \u201cGood food in bad ways. I would think of an avocado as bad. I mean, it\u2019s insane what it did not only for me physically but mentally.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
