{"id":2033554,"date":"2025-09-19T04:21:24","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T04:21:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2033554"},"modified":"2025-09-19T04:21:24","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T04:21:24","slug":"world-famous-rock-band-films-latest-music-video-at-solent-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/world-famous-rock-band-films-latest-music-video-at-solent-university\/","title":{"rendered":"World-famous rock band films latest music video at Solent University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div data-article-body=\"true\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A rock band has teamed up with a university to create their latest music video.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Don Broco, a globally recognised group known for their energetic sound and striking visuals, filmed their latest single Hype Man using Southampton Solent University\u2019s advanced Virtual Production Stage (VPS).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The VPS is a large-scale LED screen measuring 10 metres wide and three metres tall, allowing musicians and actors to, unlike a green screen, see and interact with their backdrop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><span class=\"inline-image-caption\">Don Broco at Southampton Solent University<em>(Image: Solent University)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Christopher Woolford, technician instructor at Solent, said: &#8220;Our collaboration with Don Broco showcases the way universities, and the incredible facilities they house, can have widespread use.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;At Solent, we&#8217;re proudly home to cutting-edge technology that benefits not just our immediate community, but a variety of industries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;The fact that our graduates had the opportunity to be involved is testament to the practice-led approach of learning and teaching at Solent, and I am proud of everyone involved who made this project come to life.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The VPS is one of just a few in use at UK universities and has been used in major productions such as The Batman and Disney\u2019s The Mandalorian.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyecho.co.uk\/news\/25466483.new-julius-caesar-adaptation-open-southampton\/?ref=ial\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:READ MORE: African-inspired Shakespeare play to debut at Mayflower Studios;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">READ MORE: African-inspired Shakespeare play to debut at Mayflower Studios<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The production team for Hype Man included recent Solent graduates Luke Tollett and Alfie Stickler, who assisted with both lighting and camera work during filming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Luke said: &#8220;Various skills I learnt over my three years at Solent all came in hand.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;The experience was tremendous.
