A beloved game show will take over the Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em> time slots on ABC.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, September 17, Disney\u2019s ABC told NPR<\/em><\/a> and other outlets that \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live<\/em> will be preempted indefinitely,\u201d after Nexstar Media Group \u2014 which operates 32 ABC stations \u2014 decided to preempt the long-running talk show over the 57-year-old host\u2019s remarks<\/a> on Charlie Kirk\u2019s<\/strong> death.<\/p>\n In place of the late-night show, repeat episodes of Celebrity Family Feud<\/em>, hosted by Steve Harvey<\/strong>, will air in the 11:35 p.m. hour slot on Wednesday and Thursday this week, according to Variety<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n ABC affiliates were alerted to the change on Wednesday via a memo from the ABC Affiliate Board, which noted \u201cformal guidance from Disney\/ABC is forthcoming,\u201d per Variety.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Sinclair Broadcast Group also preempted\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em>\u00a0and, according to the Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>, they will now air a remembrance special for Kirk in Kimmel\u2019s Friday night slot.<\/p>\n As the National Enquirer<\/em> previously reported<\/a>, Kirk was shot and killed on Wednesday, September 10, while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was 31 years old.<\/p>\n On the Monday, September 15 episode, Kimmel made remarks about the shooting, saying, \u201cThe MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.
