The Queen of the Dance Floor has returned.<\/p>\n\n

Or, at least she will next year when Madonna<\/a> releases her first new studio album in seven years.<\/p>\n

The as-yet-untitled release marks a couple of homecomings for the bestselling female artist of all time.<\/a><\/p>\n

After a nearly 20-year separation, Madonna is back<\/a> on Warner Records, which released her string of smash albums from her 1983 self-titled debut through 2008\u2019s \u201cHard Candy.\u201d As well, she\u2019s reunited with producer\/songwriter DJ Stuart Price, who produced much of her \u201cConfessions on a Dance Floor\u201d<\/a> album in 2005.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations,\u201d\u00a0Madonna, 67,\u00a0said in announcing her return to her home label.<\/p>\n

Madonna will revisit her dance roots on new album<\/h2>\n

Madonna\u2019s upcoming release is expected to be a sequel to the electropop \u201cCOADF,\u201d which spawned the ABBA-sampling \u201cHung Up,\u201d<\/a> a No. 1 hit on the Billboard dance charts, as well as the techno-leaning \u201cGet Together\u201d and \u201cSorry,\u201d which boasted several remixes from Paul Oakenfold and the Pet Shop Boys. Another remix of the song from Canadian DJ Blond:Ish hit the Billboard dance\/electronic chart in 2023.<\/p>\n\n

Madonna\u2019s last studio release, \u201cMadame X,\u201d arrived in 2019. The concept album dabbled in Latin and world music sounds and prompted her tour of smaller venues that drew criticism<\/a> from fans both for a lack of earlier hits injected into the show and late start times.<\/p>\n

In 2023-24, Madonna rewarded her faithful with The Celebration Tour<\/a>, which delved into her trailblazing pop career with 28 songs<\/a> spanning debut single \u201cEverybody\u201d through \u201cOpen Your Heart,\u201d \u201cLike a Prayer,\u201d \u201cJustify My Love,\u201d \u201cLa Isla Bonita\u201d and \u201cRay of Light.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
