Stephen Baldwin has broken his silence on his daughter Hailey Bieber\u2019s life and success, after she previously suggested things weren\u2019t exactly smooth between her and her famous family.<\/p>\n
The 59-year-old actor, who is best known for his roles in films like The Usual Suspects, rarely speaks publicly about his 28-year-old daughter. But appearing on Tori Spelling\u2019s podcast MisSPELLING<\/a> this week, he couldn\u2019t hold back his admiration for the model and businesswoman.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cI never talk about her, but my daughter has done the impossible, relatively.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut in this day and age, in the last 10 years, it\u2019s not impossible. It\u2019s happened.\u201d<\/p>\n Hailey, who runs the hugely popular makeup and skincare brand Rhode, has seen the company become a massive commercial success. Baldwin admitted he\u2019s been impressed by her ability to thrive in today\u2019s internet-driven world, even if he wasn\u2019t totally convinced by how money is made online nowadays.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cIt\u2019s like these kinds of successes are happening.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd young people are making unbelievable amounts of money on the Internet in ways that are very sketchy.\u201d<\/p>\n He then signed off with a simple blessing for his youngest daughter<\/a>: \u201cSo, God bless her.\u201d<\/p>\n Alongside Hailey, Baldwin<\/a> also shares her older sister, 32-year-old Alaia, with his wife Kennya. His words of praise come not long after Hailey<\/a> opened up about some tension between herself and her family.<\/p>\n Speaking to W magazine<\/a> in July 2024, she admitted: \u201cI\u2019m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I\u2019m very independent. I\u2019m my own individual now, and I\u2019ve built my own family.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite that, she explained that her childhood had still been filled with good memories, saying: \u201cBut when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cObviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different.\u201d<\/p>\n After that interview, Baldwin posted a cryptic video on his Instagram<\/a> that many thought was directed at Hailey. In the short clip, he stared into the camera, smirked slightly, and simply said: \u201cI love you,\u201d before looking away and then back again with another smirk.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the first time Baldwin has spoken warmly about his children\u2019s lives. Just a couple of months ago, in July, he also gave a shout-out to his son-in-law, Justin Bieber<\/a>. With rumours swirling about a possible split between Justin and Hailey, Baldwin said in an episode of The Adam Carolla Show<\/a> on YouTube<\/a>, he felt ‘blessed’ because both of his daughters had ‘married two great guys’, from around the 49:10 mark.<\/p>\n For someone who tends to keep his cards close to his chest, Baldwin\u2019s latest comments mark a rare glimpse into how he feels about Hailey\u2019s achievements, even in the wake of her own hints at a family rift.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
