Julia Michaels is pretty good at surviving a heartbreak storm. On Friday, the songwriter extraordinaire released the video, which Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0can exclusively premiere, for her new single \u201cNo Heartbreak\u2019s Killed Me Yet,\u201d which follows her roaming the streets and subways of New York City.<\/p>\n \u201cThis song is about confidence and resilience,\u00a0starting something\u00a0with the faith that you will be OK even in the worst case\u00a0scenario,\u201d Michaels tells Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cShooting the video all over New York was fitting because it\u2019s a city that has a resilient\u00a0energy; there is that saying that if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n Michaels finds NYC to be the \u201cperfect metaphor\u201d for relationships: It\u2019s a \u201cbeautiful place that\u2019s very tough,\u201d she jokes.<\/p>\n The new single follows the release of her May 2025 EP, Second Self<\/em>, which included \u201cHeaven II\u201d and \u201cScissors\u201d with Maren Morris. \u201cShe\u2019s so brilliant when I bring an idea in and elevating it,\u201d Morris previously told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe just giggle and sing melodies all day to each other. We always choose the lyric that makes us laugh.\u201d<\/p>\n The new music comes after Michaels has co-written some of pop music\u2019s biggest hits in the last two years: She co-wrote songs \u201cBed Chem,\u201d \u201cTaste,\u201d and three others from Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s Short n Sweet<\/em>,<\/a> \u201cCall Me When You Break Up\u201d <\/a>by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, and several standouts from Tate McRae\u2019s So Close to What<\/em><\/a>, including \u201cRevolving Door\u201d and \u201cSports Car.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNo Heartbreak\u2019s Killed Me Yet\u201d was released under her self-launched GFY Records, as was her EP from earlier this year.
