The Morning Show<\/em> just returned for season 4 amid confirmation that it has already been picked up<\/a> for season 5 \u2014 but an insider tells the National Enquirer<\/em> that star and executive producer Reese Witherspoon<\/strong> may not be as involved.<\/p>\n \u201cReese had a great run on the show, but she\u2019s looking to dial things back moving forward,\u201d the insider reveals.<\/p>\n While Witherspoon, 49, continues to executive produce the show with her Hello Sunshine company, says the insider, \u201cit\u2019s very unclear right now if she\u2019s going to continue her on-camera role full time.\u201d<\/p>\n The Oscar winner\u2019s \u201cheart just isn\u2019t in it\u201d the way it is for her costar and fellow executive producer Jennifer Aniston<\/strong>, adds the insider. \u201cEverybody who has gone to the set sees that for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Friends<\/em> star, 56, \u201chas a love for the TV business and is a natural when it comes to her own producing duties,\u201d says the insider. \u201cIt has really become Jen\u2019s show, and Reese is proud of what Jen has accomplished, but it\u2019s a lot harder for Reese to give this show eight months of the year the way Jen is able to.\u201d<\/p>\n Aniston and Witherspoon both reportedly earn about $20 million<\/a> per season for the show, \u201cand Reese was instrumental in putting together that deal, but it\u2019s not about money for her,\u201d says the insider.<\/p>\n Witherspoon wants to prioritize her movie acting roles, as well as her return to Big Little Lies<\/em><\/a>, shares the insider. \u201cAnd most folks predict she\u2019ll walk away from it, sooner rather than later.\u201d<\/p>\n As National Enquirer<\/em> previously reported<\/a>, Aniston is already having \u201cmajor anxiety\u201d about Witherspoon being pulled away by other projects. \u201cReese loves working with Jen,\u201d the source explained, \u201cbut she loves to do lots of different things.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/staging.nationalenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/MEGA432621_001-scaled.jpg\")
