CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AXIOS) – Officials said that Charlotte\u00a0rapper\u00a0DaBaby did not have the city\u2019s approval to\u00a0film\u00a0his newest music video for \u201cSAVE ME,\u201d<\/a> which depicts the violent Aug. 22 stabbing on the light rail<\/a>.<\/p>\n The big picture:\u00a0<\/b>Labeled \u201cBased on a True Story,\u201d the video was filmed on Charlotte\u2019s Blue Line and features actors resembling Iryna Zarutska<\/a>, the 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee stabbed to death on the light rail, and\u00a0Decarlos Brown Jr., the accused attacker.<\/p>\n Between the lines:\u00a0<\/b>The\u00a0Charlotte Area Transit System, known locally as CATS, told Axios that it did not grant permission for the filming. He\u2019s also been at the center of\u00a0several\u00a0controversies<\/a>.<\/p>\n The video,<\/b>\u00a0released Tuesday, begins with surveillance video of Zarutska and Brown on the train the night of the stabbing.
