The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Thursday<\/a> that 12 more songs have been added to its collection, \u201cHymns \u2014 For Home and Church<\/a>,\u201d including one with lyrics written by President Russell M. Nelson.<\/p>\n The hymn penned by President Nelson<\/a> is a \u201csuper special song,\u201d explained 18-year-old Emily Winters, who sings on the new batch of songs\u2019 English recordings. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very sacred, talking about us and God,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful representation of our relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n President Nelson\u2019s hymn, titled \u201cOur Prayer to Thee,\u201d was first published in a church magazine in 2003<\/a>, and was later performed at general conferences in October 2018<\/a> and April 2022<\/a>, according to the church\u2019s Thursday announcement.<\/p>\n Now, the hymn joins 11 others which, comprising the fifth batch of songs the church has released for its new hymnbook, have brought the collection\u2019s total to 60 songs available in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.<\/p>\n These songs include:<\/p>\n
