Mega popstar Taylor Swift is bringing back her old album release parties, but on a grander scale<\/a>.<\/p>\n Starting on Oct. 3, the same day her new album “The Life of a Showgirl” drops, \u201cTaylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl<\/a>” will hit movie screens in thousands of theaters across the country and will feature the premiere of the first music video from the new album, \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia.\u201d<\/p>\n The 89-minute “party” will run from Friday through Sunday at all 540 AMC Theatres locations, along with thousands of non-AMC places, including Cinemark and Regal theaters. Screenings will begin simultaneously at 3 p.m. ET on Oct. 3.<\/p>\n The theater party will also include behind-the-scenes footage from the music video, lyrics videos for other songs on the album, and Swift\u2019s \u201cnever-before-seen personal reflections\u201d about those new songs, Variety reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n AMC is leaning into the concert-like vibe, encouraging fans to sing and dance (with a few safety caveats) and promising no ads or trailers.<\/p>\n On Swift’s Instagram,<\/a> she posted a new movie poster with the caption, “I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soir\u00e9e… looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan…<\/span> Tickets are on sale now. The event will not include trailers and will begin on time.<\/p>\n Tickets are specially priced at $12, in honor of Swift’s 12th album, which contains 12 songs. Tickets went on sale Sept. 19 at 12:12 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n The theater party will be in all AMC theaters in Florida<\/a>, as well as some Regal<\/a> and Cinemark<\/a> theaters.
