Related video: Smith Entertainment Group announces indoor music venue with Live Nation for downtown Salt Lake City<\/em><\/p>\n SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4<\/strong><\/a>) \u2014 Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) has selected key partners for the Sports,\u00a0Entertainment,\u00a0Culture\u00a0and\u00a0Convention\u00a0(SECC)\u00a0District in downtown Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n SEG selected global architectural firm, HKS, to design the master plan for the entertainment district in downtown SLC.<\/p>\n In a press release, SEG said that they are \u201clooking forward to continued collaboration\u201d with Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, the State of Utah, business and community leaders, and residents during the ongoing effort to reimagine downtown Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n SEG said that HKS has offices in nine countries. The group has worked on multiple sports and entertainment districts, including:<\/p>\n Victory Plaza in Dallas at the American Airlines arena, home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n AT&T Stadium and the Arlington Experience District, home of the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Huntington Bank Stadium Masterplan for the Cleveland Browns; and SoFi Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Additionally, Salt Lake County announced key private partners to lead critical aspects of the renovation of the Salt Palace\u00a0Convention\u00a0Center, a cornerstone of SECC\u00a0District.<\/p>\n The partners are Construction Control Corporation\/RLB, local\u00a0and\u00a0global \u201cowner\u2019s representative,\u201d construction\u00a0and\u00a0cost management, and MHTN\/Populous, local\u00a0and\u00a0global architectural design expertise.<\/p>\n \u201cThese selections represent some of the best talent in the industry, with a unique\u00a0and\u00a0necessary blending of local\u00a0and\u00a0national expertise,\u201d said\u00a0Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson. \u201cAs excited as I am to see the new\u00a0district\u00a0develop\u00a0and\u00a0our visitor economy grow, I\u2019m most excited about enhancing community opportunities through intentional placemaking. Through this collaborative effort, beloved venues\u00a0and\u00a0spaces will be improved\u00a0and\u00a0there will be better walkability\u00a0and\u00a0connectivity downtown. The reimagined area will serve as a gathering space for residents\u00a0and\u00a0visitors alike. We have deep gratitude for the Utah State Legislature, our partners at Salt Lake City, Smith\u00a0Entertainment\u00a0Group,\u00a0and\u00a0the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for making this possible.\u201d<\/p>\n Smith Entertainment Group owns the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth, Delta Center, SEG Media, and The Shops at South Town, among other Utah ventures.<\/p>\n In August, SEG announced plans for an Indoor Music Venue in partnership with Live Entertainment.
