WRETCHED<\/strong> have released a brand new single!<\/p>\n The new music video, titled Radiance<\/strong>, is the latest offering from the Charlotte, North Carolina-based death metal band and is taken from their long-awaited fifth full-length, Decay<\/strong><\/a>, which is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Metal Blade Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Speaking about the song, vocalist Billy Powers<\/strong> shares, \u201cRadiance<\/strong> is a chapter in our story in which the possessed body and mind of our main character Malus is used by the ancient Necromancer to lure his sibling into his newfound lair within Terra Mortuorum; a \u2019land of the dead\u2018. Within the veins of this mountainous lair in which his sister Fragor\u00e9 has been conjured, the attack begins and the talisman she holds in place of a heart is extracted and fused with Malus\u2018 own. To me, this track represents someone feeling weak and doing everything they can, good or bad, to prove to themselves that they ultimately could do whatever act is in question. <\/em>Unfortunately, in this portion of the story it pertains to the \u2018doing something bad\u2019 aspect and in one\u2018s mind, after the fact, they face the truth of what they\u2018ve done and realize what such an action truly took away from them. What it took away from their soul if you will. In the end, the moral of the story is to accept yourself, keep your head, stay focused and do what you know to be right, not what is easy to let yourself do.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Adds guitarist Steven Funderburk<\/strong>, \u201cRadiance<\/strong> is a solid head-banging ripper of a song that has heavy groove riffing as well as a very mournful yet epic melody on the back half, which is something we\u2018re known for doing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Watch the official music video for Radiance here:<\/strong><\/p>\n
