With Taylor Swift\u2019s 12th studio album on the horizon, fans will soon have a new way to celebrate together. Cinemark announced Friday that it will host Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cThe Official Release Party of a Showgirl,\u201d a nationwide theater event featuring an exclusive music video premiere and special behind-the-scenes content.<\/p>\n
The celebration begins Friday, October 3, and runs through Sunday, October 5, with showings at Cinemark theaters across the United States. The event will include the world premiere of Swift\u2019s new music video \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia,\u201d along with brand-new lyric videos and never-before-seen personal reflections from the singer on songs from her upcoming album \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl,\u201d according to a Cinemark news release.<\/p>\n
Tickets went on sale at 12:12 p.m. ET on September 19 and are available for $12 plus taxes and fees online<\/a>, through the Cinemark app, or at participating box offices. (Republic Records via AP)<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Swift\u2019s \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl\u201d was first announced in August during a surprise teaser<\/a> for her appearance on her now fianc\u00e9 Travis Kelce\u2019s podcast, \u201cNew Heights.\u201d In a clip released ahead of the Aug. 13 episode, co-hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason, Swift unveiled the album title while opening a mint green briefcase containing a vinyl record representing the project, though the cover art was deliberately blurred.<\/p>\n Leading up to the teaser, Swift\u2019s official website featured a cryptic countdown clock and a series of stylized photos hinting at a new era. The announcement came nearly a year after her 11th studio album, \u201cThe Tortured Poets Department,\u201d which included tracks inspired by her relationship with Kelce.<\/p>\n This new chapter follows a landmark achievement earlier this year, when Swift secured ownership of her master recordings from Big Machine Records after a years-long dispute.<\/p>\n Attendees can expect more than just a music video premiere.
