Tina Knowles shares what\u2019s next for her granddaughter, Blue Ivy, after she joined her mom on stage on tour.<\/p>\n

After Blue Ivy spent the summer taking the world by storm on stage alongside her mom during the \u201cCowboy Carter Tour,\u201d Tina Knowles is divulging what\u2019s next for her granddaughter\u2019s budding career.<\/p>\n

The 71-year-old author and famous matriarch opened up about Blue Ivy on Thursday, September 18, while speaking to People magazine<\/a> during the annual AIDS benefit \u201cThe Elizabeth Taylor Night of Compassion.\u201d<\/p>\n

When it came to picking up the musical baton from her parents, Beyonc\u00e9 and Jay-Z, Knowles said, \u201cI don\u2019t know if that\u2019s her passion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe can do so many things,\u201d she continued. \u201cShe can paint, she writes poetry, anything she puts her mind to do, she\u2019s good at. So I don\u2019t know what she\u2019s going to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI think she would be great at music, [she] would kill it. But I don\u2019t think that that\u2019s her passion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 and Jay-Z welcomed Blue Ivy as their first child together in January 2012 before eventually welcoming fraternal twins, Rumi and Sir, in June 2017. In the years since, after kicking the tradition off on the Renaissance Tour, Blue has become a fixture at her mom\u2019s shows. During the \u201cCowboy Carter Tour,\u201d her little sister Rumi joined in for a few of the stops.<\/p>\n

Last year, Beyonc\u00e9 told GQ<\/a> that it was Blue Ivy\u2019s decision to join her on stage as one of her dancers. However, the \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em\u201d singer was staunchly against it initially.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlue is an artist,\u201d she told the publication. \u201cShe has great taste in music and fashion. She is a fantastic editor, painter and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three. She\u2019s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage. Blue wanted it for herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cShe took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n
