Kanye “Ye” West, Kris Jenner Have Explosive Argument Over Mental Health in Documentary<\/p>\n
A tense moment in\u00a0Kanye “Ye” West<\/a><\/u><\/strong>\u2019s family life has come to light.<\/p>\n In the raw new documentary In Whose Name? <\/em>about the \u201cGold Digger\u201d rapper, which premiered in theaters Sept. 19, he and then-mother-in-law Kris Jenner<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0engage in a tense confrontation over his mental health and treatment.<\/p>\n As seen in footage taken of the Nico Ballesteros<\/strong>-directed film shared to social media<\/a><\/u>, Kanye\u2014who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016\u2014tells Kris that he “would rather be dead than to be on medication.”<\/p>\n “No one from the family has taken any responsibility for my hospital visit,” he says to Kris, mom to his then-wife Kim Kardashian<\/strong>, while wearing a Make America Great Again hat in the scene filmed after he visited Donald Trump<\/strong>\u00a0at the White House in 2018, per People<\/a><\/em>. “That’s 50 percent of what people say at least. Am I lying?”<\/p>\n After Kris tells him that “it doesn’t matter” what people are saying, Kanye starts to scream, “It does<\/em> matter!” at her several times as her boyfriend\u00a0Corey Gamble<\/strong> tries to interject from off camera.<\/p>\n “I haven’t finished the sentence,” the Kardashians<\/em> star responds. “It matters to us and you.
