Rising country music star Spencer Hatcher returned to social media recently after taking off more than a month following the killing of his mother, Holly Hatcher, in her Virginia home.<\/p>\n
Holly, who was 62, was stabbed to death during a home invasion on Aug. 3. <\/p>\n
Spencer Hatcher posted the next day about a \u201cmonumental loss\u201d in his family and then went silent on social media. <\/p>\n
He has now returned with a video showing his appreciation for his fans and their support in the heartbreaking time. <\/p>\n
\u201cSpencer here,\u201d he said to start the video which shows him seated in a rocking chair. \u201cI just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the love and support that you all have shown me and my family over the last month. In what has really been the worst time of our life, you all sent so many loving comments and messages and made posts and everything. We did our best to read them, but I just want you all to know how appreciative we are and I am of you all.\u201d<\/p>\n
The young singer then talked some about his mother. <\/p>\n
\u201cYou know my mom was my biggest fan, and my biggest supporter in everything that I did,\u201d he said. \u201cBut she was also \u2026 she loved the music, everything about it. She loved the music. She loved the shows. And after a lot of thought and prayer and speaking to my label about continuing, you know, I 100 percent made the decision that I want to continue making music and bringing smiles to people\u2019s faces and being out on the stage and everything. But I\u2019m doing it a lot because I know that is what my mom would want me to do. She would want me to keep on, and I know how much she loved it, and I know how much y\u2019all love it. So, I\u2019m not going to quit. I\u2019m going to keep on. I\u2019m going to go as hard as I possibly can, and I want you all to come along on this journey with me. As I get back into it, you know, I\u2019m going to be posting a bunch more, but I just appreciate you all and all that you have done for me and will continue to do for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hatcher said that he had a \u201cpretty big schedule\u201d before the incident took place, and he looks forward to trying to revive that and make as many of the appearances as he can. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m real excited for it,\u201d he said. \u201cYou know, like I said, I know that my mom was real excited about all the opportunities, and all the music, and I hope that you all are just as excited about it as she was. So, again, thank you all so much for everything. Thank you for your support in the future, and I hope that one day we can all be together where I can thank you personally.<\/p>\n

According to multiple reports<\/b><\/a>, 41-year-old Kevin Walker entered the Hatcher home and stabbed Holly to death before attacking her husband, Michael Hatcher.
